Trust Radio Road Shows it is becoming very exciting!

So much is happening with the Trust Radio Road Shows it is becoming very exciting.  Klaas has gone to Holland and Germany to sort out the VIP Bus.

But for the moment l want to go on to something very special to me and Bobby and of course our lovely daughter, Michele and our great son-in-law, Simon.

On December the 3rd 2010 they adopted two lovely little Bulgaria girls,  Danni and Axie.  They had been in an orphanage for a couple of years and now have a wonderful new home with a lovely Mummy and Daddy.

Not only have the lives changed for the girls but also for Michele and Simon.  Gone are the days of having an afternoon sleep or getting up late.  The biggest problem was the language but that is being sorted as the girls now speak ‘pigeon Bulgarian/English’.  They have been watching Catherine Tate programs and now say with their accent ‘am l bothered’.

Trust Radio Europe does also support The Silistra Orphanage organized by a lovely couple Berni and Dougie who work tirelessly to raise funds for not only Silistra but any other orphanage in need.  If you want to be involved do let us know.  We are also planning to become involved in our local orphanage.

And now to the Road Shows.  The first is 9th May in Sofia at 5pm.  Actually that won’t be the very first as we plan to do a rehearsal in Mezdra. We are checking the date there with the Mayor.  Tomorrow l will give a list of all the towns we will be ‘hitting’ with ‘Trust Radio Road Shows’.

I have to say a big ‘thank you to Eric’  he talks me through all this stuff.  And a happy birthday tomorrow to Wendy.

The Bus is Coming Soon

Hello again... Rosie here...

I woke up this morning to the most wonderful sunshine.. and then remembered l must pump out the basement.

We had so much snow last week that our basement was flooded; we have a pump that takes out the water.  This is another job we have to do in the Spring and Summer.

Most Bulgaria properties have a room or rooms under ground which is great because the temperatures are good winter or summer.  Never too hot, never too cold, but if you have a water course under ground then it can be a problem.

Anyway that sorted.  Time for coffee, breakfast, and the medication that is needed for me, Bobby and of course Boyzi, the coughing dog.

Bobby is ready for going on air, he manages the first floor to the studio.  He says ‘Good morning’ and the power goes.  He arrived, downstairs very annoyed and said ‘Oh dear’ (no he didn’t but l can’t say what he said!)

Power back on.  All is going great.  Fabulous live link with Cindy, Anglo Info and it went again.   BUT this time it is not only the power for a second but the equipment is overheating.  Now tell me, how can we have so much snow one week and then high temperatures the next week?  That is what makes living here so great.

I must add that in general our power supply is very good.   It is rare to have power cuts.  There are many things here that remind me of England many years ago but the internet and power etc are good.

Tomorrow Klaas, our Dutch colleague is going to travel to sort out bringing the VIP Bus to Bulgaria ready for the Trust Radio Europe Road Shows.

This is the start of the VIP Bus arriving in Bulgaria.

Our first Road Show is set for the 9th May 2011 in Sofia the capital of Bulgaria.    Last week we received a call from the Mayor of Sofia, Sofia is divided into several municipalities as it is very big.  Can we do a show for the International Day of the Gypsies?  Wow!  We are not ready, but we have to try to something!

What…we don’t know… but we will come up with something.

Listen into www.trustradioeurope.com   for Classic Hits and Today’s Best Music and to find out what’s coming next.

A BIG welcome from Rosie Martin

I have heard about ‘Blogs’ and I like the word ‘Blog’ it has a certain sound to it…. ‘Blog’

Well, one day l was talking to Darren from ‘Quest BG’ who said why not start a ‘Blog’?

“How” said l.  “It is easy” said he.

I then spoke with Eric from ‘123 dating.org’  “How do l start a Blog?” said l.  “It is easy” said he.  He then said “I can do that for you”.

“Thank you” said I... and he did.  So here is my ‘Blog’.

That evening l spoke with my good friend Julie.  She said “What is a Blog?  “Not really sure but l think it is to do with what goes on in your life etc”  l replied.  “Well that won’t be boring” was her answer.

From my opening comments l am sure you must realize l am not into technology.  In fact I have only just got my head around e.mails and CC and BCC, but I have a ‘Blog’

I have so much to tell firstly, about Trust Radio Europe Road Shows planned for this Spring and Summer in Bulgaria AND then there is the  number of times I run up and  down stairs with coffee for Bobby when he is ‘on air’ presenting his Breakfast Show.  (I am sure he thinks l am doing nothing).  The studio dog, Boyzi, Buster, the cat who thinks he is in control.  (Actually he is)  and ‘ello’ the stray cat who nearly destroyed all the equipment.

The Radio Show l am about to start, Cindy from ‘Anglo Info’ says l should do a woman’s hour, that would take more than an hour.

So this is the start of my ‘Blog’.  I have to go as I am cooking a ‘delicious’ meal for my husband.  (just one of my many duties)
